Carpet on the Inside.

Joey has taken charge of cutting the carpet segments to shape, he firstly made a paper template the correct shape, then cuts the carpet to size and we glue it in place.
Firstly he did the Rear panel, We both think it looks good, But we must be careful to keep it clean.

We were doing the carpet during "Firework Season" Arghh, We both hate this time of year. Its when normally sane people turn into "Raving Pyromaniacs" and the whole land increases its contribution to Global Warming tenfold.
Why on earth should we have to take our animals in and endure all the constant Banging that continue night after night for weeks on end. And look at the state of the car it is covered in ash from Bonfires, Bloody ridiculous!

With the village doing its best impression of Baghdad central, We were hard at work with the carpets and as you can see the inner tunnel sides. It looks good and goes well with the Treadplate.

Blimey we have been building the car a long time.
Joeys even managed to grow a Moustache whilst we have been doing it.

Now the Drivers side is covered.

Here he is making the template for the passenger outer tunnel.

Here he is placing his template on the carpet.

And look at this, Another perfect fit.
Well done mate.

Now the carpets all fitted and the kickplate is in place it all looks pretty neat and tidy. We have put a sheet of rubber underneath and then bolted the kickplate in position, it holds the carpet firmly in the corners so hopefully it will all stay nicely in place.

Here is our idea of a tunnel top its the carbon effect sheet and we will trim the edges with rubber edge trim. Rather than bolt it down we will stick it down with RTV sealant adhesive so you won't see any fastenings.

And here is the drivers side, all carpetted up with the seats fitted.
(Who's nicked the Mountney?)

Now we are lining the passenger footwell (The top half), Here is the view looking inwards we have fitted a heater duct which is connected to the lower heater blower pipe, we had a quick funtional try of the blower and are really impressed with it.
