Because of our method of Bonnet/ Scuttle system we were left with a couple of redundant scuttle vents. We had to fill these somehow otherwise come the inevitable British downpour all our under Dash electrics would get soaked
(Not to mention our feet).
Our method was to tape up the vents from above so the tape went vertically down from the top lip of the vent
This is how it looks from under the bonnet, then we filled it all up with Black RTV sealant and placed............
A flat sheet of thin Ally underneath. His kept the sealant in position and made a nice waterproof seal. At the top we were left with Black sealant filling the vent holes completely, which we think looks good.
Looks like Bart is suitably impressed.
