Stafford 2005 Our first show in the car we built
Right here we go, off to our first show in Joey's car. Look at the Daft Hat Joey is wearing

We set off nice and early and the weather was lovely "Cold but Dry". We did get a bit lost in Nottingham and ended up going a bit further North than we had planned but we still made it in plenty of time, In actual fact we were the first ones there. It was not long before more Hoodies turned up though.....
Talking of "Daft Hats"
Pretty soon we had a full house, Not as big a turn out as usual but still an impressive sight.
We took the time to pop over to the Robin Hood stand and tell "Richard and Gina" that we had finished Joeys car and how much we had enjoyed the whole experience.
Our car seemed to be getting its fair share of compliments which pleased us both a lot.
Here we have an picture of an admirer no doubt wishing he had his "Own" Robin Hood.
Saturday night we were kindly invited to stay at Big Jims house in Chorley, Lancashire. It was quite a distance but we travelled in convoy with quite a number of Hoodies which was really great.
That night at Jims we were treated to a "Typical Lancashire Dish" Chips, Pie and Gravy from the chippy
Very nice it was too.
The next day dawned really nice again, We have been lucky with the weather over this weekend especially as we do not have a lid yet!
It was a fast journey down the motorway, probably a bit faster than it would have been but yesterday Big Jim said that his journey down on Saturday was slowed by some Pinto drivers and we did not want to be accused of doing this, Suffice to say we were "Not" accused of slowing him down.
Joey got himself a Carbon Effect Number plate light and had a go at fitting it, unfortunately he only had the cover but it did not match the Glass on ours so we will have to phone Steve at SVC later on to get the whole assembly.
One of Sundays visitors was Mick "Health and Safety" Mellors who promptly parked his newly purchased Hood blocking the Fire Exit.
Here he is with his son Jack.
Then his car had a quiet "Steam" to entertain the troops.
All that was needed to cure this was to open the bonnet and pull a funny face.
Shortly afterwards "Chris Brown" made a far more spectacular entrance with his overheating 2B spouting water a good 4 feet in the air, Crowds of concerned Hoodies crowded round to offer their support.
.........
Mick tried a novel way of cooling down Chris's Boiling Pinto.....
To top it all Chris had some "Dick Head" from one of the neighbouring clubs come over to bollock him for starting his engine (To cool it down). Suffice to say Chris Ignored him and the Burk soon went away
Sundays show was not as well attended car wise as Saturday but there was loads of visitors and again Joey took great pride in showing off his car. We must get a Bonnet Strut for the next show as we had to use a fold down seat to prop it open...
This picture shows exactly how much the little fella loves His car and his Life as a Hoody !
The weather again was fine on the way home and the car performed faultlessly averaging about 30mpg which we are very happy with especially following the warp speed dash down from Big Jims House.
Look forward to the next show perhaps we will see the "Yellow Canoe" at that show if there is no clouds in sight
