Battery in the boot "The sequel"

Now we own the Car we decided to do things to suit us, We will sort out the pedals and steering column so that you don't have to be a midget to fit in the bloody thing, We will make it suit Dad so then it will be more suitable for the larger size driver.
We started to rip out the loom and discovered underneath all the tape was a "Vickey Green" Loom. Now according to a lot of the builders on RHOCAR the VG loom has its faults! But in this case we were very happy to find the loom, mainly because its a new loom and hopefully has not been bodged around by the previous owners
Here we see Joey removing the battery, We had just made the decision between us to relocate the battery to the Boot, Where it should be . We also decided at this point that we were also going to make a straight firewall, cut the bonnet and have a fixed Scuttle

Thats the bendy drivers firewall off we have removed the steering column support and it looks a lot better already

Look what Joey found underneath the battery, I wonder how long it would have taken for them to bash their way through the bottom of the poor misplaced battery !

This is the only bolt used on the Battery tray Support bracket (More about that elsewhere) but just look how it was butting into this part of the loom
(Another thing that would have been hazardous!)

In about 3 minutes flat, the Original Firewall, Battery Tray and the Support Bracket had fell off in our hands
