Here we were on our second visit to the Skelly Gala, The weather was lovely. We were more excited this year because we could bring the Hood rather than the overworked Mondeo.
Joey decided he did not like where I had parked so he gave Jack Mellors a lift to a more suitable slot.
After a while there was a drive round the village arranged for all the vehicles in the show, it was great there was loads of villagers who came out to see us all, Nice one!
After the run we returned to "Joeys slot" beside the rest of the Hoods and sat down to bake in the hot sunshine.
As usual the cars attracted a lot of interest both from the young and old, Again here we have Joey "In His Element"
This was something that Joey had been desperate to do, This was drive his car round on the parade laps, I was a bit worried but need not have been because he performed very well. He did get a bit tongue tied when the man with the microphone interviewed him when we entered the arena, but I suppose he is only 14 he is driving a car and being interviewed in front of loads of people, so I will let him off. (Made His Dad Proud I can Tell You)
After a good few laps it was time to leave the arena, sure enough Joey again drove very well following the rest of the Hoods back to the car park. A nice afternoon chatting cars and then off home for tea.
