Stoneleigh 2005!

It does not seem that long ago that we were last at Stoneleigh (Mind you it was raining last year) but this our first with the car.
This is me and Joeys third visit to this show and each year it gets better and we expect this year to be no different.

Saturdays weather was really hot and it helped us to get over the previous nights excesses quite well.
There was loads of interest in Joeys car here we see some "old geezer" checking it out.
Look how strapped on the spare wheel is, thats on for good !

As usual there was a massive Hoody presence

And this is what me and Joey bought from the show, a 2.9 V6 Granada off Andy Barbet, Joey managed to persuade me to buy it and I must admit it was too good a deal to miss, cheers Andy.

As usual Joey was keeping a low profile trying not to attract any attention!!!!

Daren Fasey had heard about our losing the spare wheel problem and was taking no chances.

In no time at all it was Monday afternoon and we had to get off home, and then the weather arrived Big style, it absolutely pissed it down. We got caught on the Motorway with no place to stop so we had to just tootle on our merry way Smiling to all the Tin Top inhabitants who looked at us as if we were mad Every motorway bridge we passed had a sodden Kit car sheltering under it so we had to press on, We passed Tim Norman who was looking quite smug under his Surrey top, But hey! we were passing him Sorry Tim

Eventually we found a Motorway service station which was crowded with Kits all soaking wet, including Big Lee and Barry who left Stoneleigh after us!!! OK we turned the wrong way on the way out

Anyway forget the rain, that was all part of the fun. This is the picture that sums up our weekend, Loads of Robin Hoods and loads of friends who want to talk cars, Another Great Hoody weekend !
