Getting rid of the wreckage

Joey and Bill worked hard to get the old broken Mondeo ready for the breakers at the same time as the "Donor" Sierra which was rapidly receeding at Lee's. When the time finally arrived, we used our Tuesday "Kit Car Allocated Time" to collect the trailer from our mate Gordon and to load up the Mondeo ready for the next day, (Lee and Bill had booked Holidays).
The loading was a lot of fun and again would have made a great video for "You've been framed", we had Lee Steering the car using what was left of the steering mechanism, Joey and Bethany watching the rear and Bill using the winch at the front, Just when the Mondeo reached the top end of the trailer the cable snapped
The Car rolled quickly backward, Kids running in all directions Lee sitting doing nothing but enjoying the ride First thought was that it might hit the New TD Mondeo, then as it rolled past that the fear was that it was heading quickly for The House ! (Imagine this insurance claim )
Luckily the rolling car hit a brick and stopped just short of the house, Phew!

We decided that the whole car might be a bit much for this trailer so we whipped off the Doors, Bonnet and Boot,We decided this was not enough, so the wheels were next.
Now even if you are not a "Health and safety" executive Its easy to spot the dodgy techniques being used in this picture.

We had to be very careful to check the car before we left for the scrappers, If you look carefully under the seat you will see why.
"Gizmo the cat was very interested in this new playground"

The Mondeo made £60 from the Scrap metal merchants so now it was time to sell the Sierra, This had the potential of being a lot more difficult because the Sierra was in the Felton's back garden and had no wheels!
We had to drag the shell over the back drive, Through the Single Garage and down the front drive where we had positioned the trailer.

We went with Lee's idea of making a "WheelBarrow" out of the shell, First Lee welded a couple of wheels to a Metal Bar, and then welded the whole lot to the front of the "Shell".

Then he shoved a couple of sticks up the shell's rear end Looks like this is going to be hard work !

I was not wrong, it was hard work, Bloody hard work Especially when Lee was messing around on the roof when we were going through the garage.

The job was not to get any easier when we reached the trailer, Lee stopped climbing but now he started Dancing

After a lot of struggling we finally got it on to the trailer, even after all this work Lee still never made us a "Cup Of Tea" Anyway we had to get going back to the breakers.

By the time we got back to "City Scrap" the Mondeo had gone forever

Now it was time for the Sierra to go, we has a quick panic when we noticed we had forgot to remove a strap holding the car to the trailer That could have been very embarrassing.

£43 for the shell, There is definately Money in the scrap Business
Right lets get on with the Building !
