Who needs the Sierra Rubber Bush?

After our experience with Joeys car and the ground clearance at the back, we decided to go one step further and remove the whole Sierra Vibration mount thingy.
As you may recall on Joeys we got rid of "RH's" Big angled washer and bolt and made a flat plate with a bolt welded in place which gave us an extra 10 to 15 mm which is a real improvement I can tell you.
This time we decided to remove the whole Rubber Grommet bit, If you decide to go this route be prepared for a hard slog, its a bugger to get the rubber bit out

Using the Sierra front suspension washer that RH suggest we welded a tube to the center section. This will support the whole assembly when we tighten the mounting bolts

Then we fitted these washers to the lower side of the Suspension tube and spot welding it in place.

This is how it looks from the top end of the Sierra tube

And now with our "Top Washer" fitted.

Then we trimmed the tube flush so its ready to bolt into place on the chassis, but now with a good 20 mm more ground clearance
